SongDoge  Token  (SGBDOGE),  built  on  Songbird  Network, is  designed  to  fuel  a  nostalgic  Internet Arcade, reminiscent of the classic Flash game era of Shockwave, Newgrounds, Kongregate.

  Our mission is to create a decentralized gaming ecosystem where users can use SGBDOGE to purchase NFTs, in-game items, and skins across multiple games, as well as have a say in what type of games are developed & balanced. Together we can develop & fund games we actually enjoy, while having a say in what type of content is integrated into each game.

• Vision

Our goal is to build a vibrant web3 arcade, inspired by the golden days of Shockwave, Newgrounds, Kongregate, & other contemporary names of the era. We aim to create a platform where users can relive the excitement of old-school arcade gaming, & the nostalgia of early internet browser-based gaming, enhanced with modern innovations such as NFTs and digital ownership.

• Token Utility

               SGBDOGE will serve as the primary currency within our arcade ecosystem

• Purchase NFTs: Unique in-game items, skins, and other digital assets that enhance the gaming experience.
• Buy In-Game Items: Players can buy power-ups, customizations, and other virtual goods to improve their gameplay.
• Trade and Sell: Users can trade or sell their NFTs and in-game items in a decentralized marketplace, fostering a dynamic and player-driven economy.
• Governance: Holders have influence on game development.

The SongDoge Token ecosystem will be governed by its community. Key aspects of the governance model include:

• Content Development: Holders will have the power to vote on which types of games, should be developed and funded. This includes deciding on game genres, themes, and gameplay mechanics.
• Custom Items and Graphics: Contributors will have a say in the creation of custom items and graphics, ensuring that the content resonates with the community.
• Game Balance and Updates: Governance will also extend to decisions on game balance changes, updates, and new features, maintaining a fair and engaging gaming environment.

 This project will begin with small budget flash-arcade style games, inspired by the Shockwave & Newgrounds era of internet gaming. Initial funding for games will come from SGBDOGE project personal funds. This seed funding will jumpstart the creative process, with the community playing a pivotal role in shaping the direction and content of the games. Staking mechanisms & other features will be developed once we have found the right devs for the job. For now this project remains with humble beginnings & long-term vision. We have already begun development on the first game which will be an endless side-scrolling shooter featuring the SongDoge character.

 SGBDOGE is designed with a clear and ongoing purpose. It will serve as the "quarters" of our digital arcade, ensuring continuous use and demand within the ecosystem. We aim to create free-to-play games with benefits for users who utilize SGBDOGE in the game, while keeping the game balanced & fun for everyone. Holders of SGBDOGE will be able to participate in special events & have access to in-game items & skins. And who knows what lies in the future, moving onto the Flare Network, after years of testing on Songbird?

To further engage our community and drive participation, we will host:

• Speedruns: Competitive events where players race to complete games in the shortest time possible, with rewards for top performers.
• Charity Events: Possible fundraising activities where proceeds from gameplay and NFT sales are donated aligning with our community interest in good causes.
• Award Events: Regular events celebrating top players, game developers, and contributors, fostering a sense of achievement and recognition within the community.

SongDoge Token aims to create a web3 browser/mobile gaming landscape by combining the nostalgic charm of classic arcade games with the power of blockchain technology. We want the community to be happy with the games created & have sustainable token use-case in the ecosystem.
